Registration is open!

On Saturday, June 21, join the Citizens League Emerging Leaders and Corcoran Neighborhood Organization on a policy tour highlighting best practices and innovations in energy efficient building. During the tour, we’ll also talk about our energy system, including a discussion about the Citizens League’s current work on electrical energy, where stakeholders have been advancing a modern electrical regulatory framework to promote greater system-wide energy efficiency, which has major implications for Minnesotan’s interests in affordability and the environment.

The tour will begin at 9:00 AM at the Midtown Farmers Market, which is located at 2225 E. Lake Street in Minneapolis, which offers plenty of free parking and transit options. From there, participants will carpool to visit three projects on the cutting edge of sustainability: Hawthorne EcoVillage, an innovative and sustainable neighborhood redevelopment, The Rose - Hope Community Net Zero Multihousing, and the MinnePHit Passivhaus near Lake Nokomis that does not have a furnace. The day will end with lunch and discussion at the Midtown Farmers Market.

Space is limited. Register now!

If you have any questions, please contact Justin Markon at (651) 293-0575 or intern@citizensleague.org.

This event is a partnership between the Citizens League Emerging Leaders and Corcoran Neighborhood Organization.
