On planting day, the whole process was very new to me.  I was quite overwhelmed what all needed to be done - but having the crew out setting up the beds was really helpful!  

After we mixed all the dirt, the garden beds are laid down, the soil mixture is added and watered. What I found really interesting was that on the bottom of the cedar beds, they put on some landscape fabric on the bottom.  I think this not only creates a barrier, keeping the soil organic, but also helps prevent weeds.  Then the soil mixture was added on top.  The smell of the cedar wood used on the beds was HEAVENLY!
