No Parking on the Even Side of the Street in St. Paul
Baby, it's cold outside and there's a ton of snow! This has been a brutal winter and we've officially run out of places to put the snow so the City of St. Paul will no longer allow drivers to park on the even side of the streets in St. Paul.
Starting Monday, March 3, 2014, residents are banned from parking on the even side of the street. Cars found parked on the even side of the street will be ticketed and possibly towed.
Streets have narrowed so drastically that there was really no other way to solve the problem. There has been little snow melt between storms with temperatures hovering around the zero mark for most of the winter.
The city has stated they would prefer not to tow the vehicles but will if cars are parked on the wrong side of the street.
Not all streets are affected. Main arteries like Lexington, Payne, Rice, University and other main streets will not have the restriction as parking is already an issue and those streets are wider and have been maintained better throughout the winter.
