Job Title: Urban Farmer
Level/Salary Range: Part time or full time seasonal
Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsibility for assigned gardens including on-going maintenance and customer relations.
• Assistance with:
-Garden installations
-Spring planting extravaganza
-Greenhouse and plant maintenance
-Upkeep of ABYF grounds and equipment
-Fall garden closings
• Other duties as necessary to meet ABYF mission and goals

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Aptitude for communicating with the public when necessary. Attention to detail. Ability to learn on the job. Reliability, good work ethic, and teamwork skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS
Knowledge of gardening. Enthusiasm for the locavore, slow food, and organic movements. Desire to work with people of all ages and abilities. Interest in on the job growth and advancement.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
Drivers license and car and ability to lift 30 pounds of compost required.
